Special Stitches
- Reverse single crochet RSC: Insert the hook to the rightinto the next ST, YO and draw the loop back to the front, YO again, and draw that loop through the two loops already on the hook. That’s one RSC. Watch here
- Crochet in rounds, join and turn: At the end of each round, join with a slip stitch to the first stitch of the round, CH 1, then turn your work and crochet the next round in the opposite direction. Watch here.

Crochet the face scrubbies
The face pads are crocheted in rounds, but some rounds are worked in the opposite direction. Make sure to turn your work where it’s indicated in the pattern.
Rnd 1: (RS) Make a magic ring, CH1, 10 HDC in the ring, join with a SL ST into the 1st HDC, CH1. You may use a stitch marker here.
Rnd 2: (RS) 2 HDC in each ST around, join with a SL ST into the 1st ST, CH1. (20). Close the magic ring by pulling the tail, then secure with a couple of knots.
Rnd 3: (RS) Insert the hook in the join (Same ST as the SL ST), pull up a loop, insert the hook in the next ST, pull up a loop, YO pull through all 3 loops, CH1,* insert the hook in last ST, pull up a loop, insert the hook in the next ST, pull up a loop, YO, pull through all 3 loops, CH1,* rep *to* around, join with a SL ST into the 1st ST, CH 1, turn. (20 clusters)
Rnd 4: (WS) Insert the hook in 1st CH-1 sp, pull up a loop, skip next ST, insert the hook in the next CH-1 sp, pull up a loop, YO pull through all 3 loops, CH1,* insert the hook in the last CH1 sp already holding last SC of last cluster, pull up a loop, skip next ST, insert the hook in the next CH-1 sp, pull up a loop, YO, pull through all 3 loops, CH1,* rep *to* around, join with a SL ST into the 1st ST, CH 2, turn. (20 clusters)
Rnd 5: (RS) * SL ST in next CH-1 sp, CH 2,* rep *to* around, finish with a SL ST in last CH-1 sp. Fasten off and weave in ends
